Mini Batch of QuadroCopter controller PCBs

Just wanted to show off my recent production of a mini batch for the QuadroCopter Controller.

The most important features of the QuadroCopter controller:

  • Based on STM32F303 MCU,
  • MPU9250 or MPU6500,
  • Capable of controlling up to 8 motors (currently 4 motors are used),
  • Stabilisation and rate flight modes,
  • Telemetry through F.Port,
  • Debug info and configuration available via serial port,
  • Over The Air (OTA) updates via external Bluetooth module,
  • 3V3 and 5V DC/DC converters,
  • up to 4S battery.

I would like to give you two tips when soldering mini batches of PCBs. The first is to use a container where you have your SMD components. It makes work much easier. You do not have to run each component one by one. Instead, all of them can be placed in all the compartments. Below you can see a 3D printed small container with 24 compartments.

The 3D model and its visualisation can be found bellow.

The second tip would be to use a heating bed. This makes work easier when soldering multiple SMD components at once. The one below is an efficient unit, however with relatively small workspace but just enough 😉
